Dire Wolf "Prometheus" - this configuration is only canon because some duke or other in the lore liked to use it. Also triple CLPL TR1 Wraith - 7/11/7 pulseboat is at the same time overpowered and little fun to play against

I strongly advise against this thread as a whole. Mech chassis selection is something that should be done via the planned meta options. Said Direwolf is the personal mech of Victor Ian Steiner Davion and as such would be considered "hero" in my book and might become reward only. A wraith is a wraith is a wraith of course its annoying to fight against it, But so is fighting a Stormcrow prime with a remotely awake controlling player. The problem is where do you stop? Some players just dont want some factions to have nice toys, some have reasonable concerns about player experience when asking for the removal of a certain machine but even if we went that way, and I am strongly against it(doesnt mean it might not happen) even if we do, it is by far not one of the first things we have to concern ourselves with. My 2 cents Peace

I think MWL 1.0 did a very good job of removing the cheesecake, I liked that policy.
I don't agree with banning the Garm btw. These aren't good mechs but they are also cheap enough. It's not a standout among bad mechs, and I don't see it taking away from the fun of playing megamek

MWL 1.0 didn´t remove "Cheesecake" Units at all. Mwl 1.0 dealt with that Problem by incorporating a lot of heavy large lasers on fast Clan movers for example. As with fast pulse boats….. they have to get near you to hit and Damage you . If you can´t deal with them at 6 or less hexes you are doing something wrong or have build a shitty army. just my 2 cents

I'm pretty much sure Rifleman IIC and Warhawk C were removed from MWL 1 back when I played there

I've been looking at the build tables from a copy of the MWL 1 server's 5th campaign of 2006 - the build tables seem to have 2 entry points, one with TR1 and Warhawk C and Rifleman IIC removed, one with these mechs still present. I assume one entry point is the standard Mekwars entry point, while the other one is a custom entry point created by Erik for the sake of the campaign. Now it wouldn't make sense to remove these mechs from the build tables that you're not going to use, so I conclude that these mechs were indeed removed from the campaign

Empo once received a Warhawk C as acknowledgement for good sportsmanship from Erik. It was the only one ever to appear, though.

How i can? Well I was Admin at Legends 1.0 from the 5th cycle to the end. Also as far as i can see only 2 People opted for a removal or have raised their voice for a removal. From the Posts i have read so far i thought this Server wanted to be transparent and wishes to Approach all members not just a few. Why not make a poll or ask around a bit more? Not via pm or discret talk but via this Forum where everyone can contribute and see the results of such a discussion. Just my 2 cents

Just my 2 cents I checked the mechfiles on the server, you're right, the Rifleman IIC was indeed nerfed. Could be that the approach to these mechs was changed at some point in time. This discussion is open to everyone, is it not?
Anyway, given the options of ban or nerf I would suggest a third way: to adress the underlying problem which is BV. It's not like CLPL are inherently overpowered, they are just too cheap.
